About

The Criminology Student Association (CSA) is a student-run group that represents all undergraduate students in the Criminology department at Simon Fraser University.

Past Events

The CSA has hosted many events. Along with our weekly meetings, we have done events such as:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Murder Mystery Night

Bob Ross Paint Nights

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) presentations

Behind the Badge with the RCMP

Pub Nights

Frosh

Merchandise sales

And more!

Why Join?

Our student union helps to build a community between not only Criminology majors, but between all other student unions and groups across campus. It gives students the opportunity to run for executive positions and take leadership roles when planning events. Not only do you get to meet new people and make new connections, you also get to build up your resume through volunteering at events and running for executive positions.

Fun Fact

Did you know that SFU has a morgue? If you take a Forensics class (Crim 355), you may get to visit it!

Common Room

Unfortunately, CSA does not have a common room. However, we usually meet in Arts Central!

Keep in Touch

P.s. Meet our adorable mascot, Lazar!

We respectfully acknowledge that FASS Fest takes place on the unceded ancestral and traditional territories of the səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, on which we are privileged to live, work, and play. Unceded means that these territories have never been handed over, sold, or given up by these nations, and we are currently situated on occupied territories. The settler colony of British Columbia was created using various forms of strategic violence and dispossession, which has structured our society and created lasting injustices that today persist. We acknowledge that, in the present, new forms of colonial violence and dispossession continue to be established on these territories.
